Accounting / Finance Officer
The right candidate will generally be involved in the application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to record, analyze, monitor and prepare financial and management reports. An Accounting Officer will be responsible for: journal entries, income/expense analysis, accruals, bank and journal reconciliation, and assisting with month end close. Department: Finance & Accounting
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position may or may not vary. Essential duties & responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Process Accounts payable & receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, research & correct account discrepancies
- Audit contracts, orders, vouchers, InvoiceMemo, & prepare reports to substantiate transactions prior to finalization.
- Coordinate billing, cash receipts, customer collections, payroll, accounts payable & other administrative functions.
- Document and coordinate implementation of accounting and control procedures & confirms their effectiveness
- Gathers and provides information to support loan origination, internal/external/compliance audit and reviews.
- Ensures that information is complete, accurate & timely and in accordance with MGI Investments’ guidelines.
- Assists in the development of budgets, forecasts and variance reports as required by management.
- And undertake any other activities that may be assigned by suppers/general manager from time to time

Job Requirements
Requires 2+ years experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting or equivalent experience. The Bachelor degree, (BA or BS) must come from a fully accredited four-year college or Polytechnic. All applicants must have finished their national service. We prefer applicants with related industry experience but no experience in accounting is required. We are looking for enthusiastic attitudes, individuals who are well organized, pay attention to details with strong time management skills. We also prefer individual who pay attention to details with excellent analytical skills. An ideal candidate must be proficient in MS excel & word applications.
